My Adventures Furnishing My New Home at Rooms to Go Frisco

Discovering a One-Stop Shop for All My Furniture Needs

When my husband and I purchased our first home together in Frisco, Texas, we were thrilled to finally have a place to call our own. However, the excitement quickly turned to overwhelm as we contemplated furnishing an entire 2,500 square foot house from scratch. Where do we even begin?

As I researched our options, one name kept popping up over and over again – Rooms to Go. I had heard of this furniture retailer before, but I didn’t realize they had a huge showroom right here in Frisco at 7171 Gaylord Pkwy. Reviews raved about the convenience of their complete room packages and the huge variety of styles available. I knew we had to check it out.

Walking into a World of Furniture Possibilities

From the moment we stepped inside the Rooms to Go Frisco store, I could tell this wasn’t your average furniture shopping experience. This place was massive! As far as my eye could see were carefully curated spaces staged to look like real living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and more. It was like walking through a furniture wonderland.

A friendly sales associate named Megan greeted us right away and asked if we were looking for anything in particular. “Everything!” I laughed, explaining our situation. Unfazed, Megan said that was the case with many of their customers and that she would be happy to show us around. I could already tell this was going to be easier than I thought.

Falling in Love with the Cindy Crawford Home Line

As we started browsing, I was immediately drawn to the Cindy Crawford Home collection. The designs were sophisticated yet homey, stylish but still inviting and comfortable. Megan explained that Rooms to Go partners with the supermodel to create signature pieces and they’ve been best-sellers for years.

We sat down on the buttery soft leather of a Cindy Crawford Home sofa and I kicked my feet up on the matching ottoman. It was like sinking into a cloud. This was it. This was the vibe I wanted for our new living room. With Megan’s guidance, we built out an entire room around the sofa – end tables, a coffee table, coordinating armchairs, an area rug, even artwork for the walls. In no time at all, our living room was complete. One room down!

Scoring Big at the Rooms to Go Outlet

Before proceeding to furnish the rest of the house, Megan asked if we wanted to check out some additional options at the Rooms to Go Outlet. Located just a short drive away in Dallas, the outlet has an ever-rotating selection of deeply discounted furniture from their main stores. It sounded promising so we decided to go for it.

When we arrived at the Rooms to Go Outlet, I felt like a kid in a candy store. So much gorgeous furniture at such incredible prices! We ended up finding an amazing deal on a dining set for our breakfast nook. The table had a few tiny scratches, but for 50% off the regular price, it was a no-brainer.

Back at the regular showroom in Frisco, we ended our spree by picking out a king-sized bedroom set, a bunk bed for the kids’ room, some funky barstools for our kitchen island, and a patio furniture set. Megan wrote up our order, helped us set up convenient delivery and even took care of our financing application right there on her tablet. I couldn’t believe how easy it was.

It’s All in the Details

Fast forward a week later, and the Rooms to Go Frisco delivery team was pulling up to our new house right on time. They carefully brought in each piece, unwrapped it, assembled everything and even hauled away all the packaging. All we had to do was sit back and admire our fully furnished home!

In the end, what I appreciated most about our experience was the attention to detail from everyone we interacted with at Rooms to Go Frisco. From Megan’s expert eye for design to the delivery team’s care and efficiency, it was clear this company is committed to top-notch customer service.

I also loved the thoughtful little touches throughout the showroom. Child-sized seating in the kids’ section so you can see how a piece will really fit your munchkin. A design center where you can mix and match upholstery swatches. Staged spaces incorporating rugs, lighting and décor so you can see how it all comes together (and of course buy those pieces too if you want the exact look).

The Bottom Line

If you’re in the Frisco area and in need of furniture, I can’t recommend Rooms to Go enough. With their huge selection, helpful staff, and complete room packages that take the guesswork out of decorating, they made furnishing an entire house a total breeze. I know we’ll be back whenever we’re ready to refresh a room or need to furnish a new space.

One thing I wish I had known beforehand is that stock can vary, so if you see something you love, jump on it. A couch I had my eye on sold out before I could make it back to buy it later that week. Lesson learned for next time! They do get new inventory all the time though, so you never know what gems you might find.

To make the most of your trip, I recommend browsing the Rooms to Go website a bit first to get a feel for the different styles and collections. Check the “Showroom” page for current promotions and sales. If you can, go on a weekday to avoid the crowds and have more personalized attention from the sales team. And don’t forget to swing by the outlet for even bigger bargains!

At the end of the day, I’m so grateful to have a resource like Rooms to Go Frisco in our community. Thanks to them, we have a magazine-worthy home that we’re excited to share with family and friends for years to come. Now, who’s coming over for dinner to christen that new dining table?
